Day 193: Be-Longing | IMAGINATION Dimension of the Mind Construct #2

ART by Kelly Posey

Continuing from

Let's look at THOUGHTS as definitions of ‘positive’ and ‘negative’ based on our ‘experiences’ in this world, the value-judgments we adopt and the memories we create to define ‘who we are’.
Then let's look at IMAGINATION as the polarity of Thoughts, from the perspective that:

if the Thought defining a point /self /a person /the world is ‘negative’, the Imagination in relation to it would be ‘positive’, as projections of hope, desire, wishing, wanting, etc.
If the Thought defining a point /self /a person /the world is ‘positive’, the Imagination in relation to it would be ‘negative’, as for instance fearfear of loss essentially.

The interesting thing about it all is that none of it is in fact real, meaning: none of it in fact describes the actuality of reality in its detail of cause and effect, outcome and consequence, beginning and end, and thus creation.

Both ‘negative’ and ‘positive’ are but mental definitions that are characteristic for the personality from which they emerge, and thus both ‘positive’ and ‘negative’ value-judgments merely describe the wants, needs, fears and desires of the personality –
a personality being a product of this world system, which develops a consciousness based on self-definition within self-interest.

So, to give a practical example:

Let’s say that who I have become as a personality in this world is someone who see themselves as an outcast, a ‘failure’. From this Thought, from this perceptual accepted ‘reality’ which is seen and defined as ‘negative’ – will emerge an Imagination process of projected ‘positive’, wherein one will, within and as the mind, imagine how one would ‘escape’ or ‘be set free’ from such life experience, through for instance experiences of ‘success’, relationships, status, validation from others, etc. – all the things one perceives to ‘lack’.

However, within this – self is projecting the ‘positive’ points through Imagination outside of self, in separation from self, making a DESIRE out of it, making it a point ‘out there’, to long for, to seek, to get to. Whatever or whoever would then come and ‘offer’ any of the ‘positive’ points that one has imagined would ‘save’ one from one’s ‘negative experience’: one will be subject to, one will be enslaved to; because one has separated those points from self and thus has abdicated one’s self-responsibility for these points and given them away to another / something else separate from self to ‘fulfill’. So here obviously the consequence/outcome would be: dependency, and thus also very likely deception, manipulation, abuse.

Now – looking at it the other way around:

Let’s say one has a point in one’s world which one sees as ‘positive’, where in one’s Thoughts that points is that which gives one ‘happiness’, ‘fulfilment’, ‘success’. From this Thought, from this perceptual accepted ‘reality’ which is seen and defined as ‘positive’ – will emerge an Imagination process of projected ‘negative’, wherein one will, within and as the mind, imagine how one could lose that very thing one holds so dear, or how this ‘successful’ experience could ‘fail’ – and all the ‘negative’ things that could happen and take that ‘positive’ experience away from self. Fear of loss.

But if something can be taken away, what do you know? It wasn’t yours to begin with.
So what can be seen is that through such polarized value-judgments, one is in fact creating both DESIRE and FEAR, in separation from self – both being points to which self makes self subject to. Total separation.

It’s interesting how one will even react to one’s one self-created fear of loss and will attempt to hold on tighter to the point one fears losing, thus further separating that very point from self, then going even more into trying to possess that point which one has defined as ‘positive’ in separation from self, to ensure it, to keep it – resulting in inequality and separation, which is what we see manifested in this world.

So it’s quite ‘fascinating’ how our internal existence manifests this world as we know it – a world of inequality and separation, a world in survival struggling between ‘winning’ and ‘losing’ and treating existence in terms of ‘superiority’ and ‘inferiority’, manifesting literally the human race, a race that results in the deterioration of substance, of life, in the name of PROFIT and self-interest, all based in mental value-judgments of polarity of a consciousness existing in separation from LIFE as all, as one, as a whole.

This is the process of the Journey to Life –

of walking ourselves out of this sick consciousness of self-interest, and into and as Life Awareness, as living beings self-realized as equals of life that take responsibility for Life, as all, as one - this one world we all share.
