Day 83: Deconstructing Characters – The Philosopher

ART by Ann Van Den Broeck

For context please read:

When looking back at my life, I see how throughout my studies, especially through meeting new places and new people, I started expanding my view of the world, and at some point I developed this personality of a ‚philosopher’, seeking to understand my existence and my experience.
What I had not considered back then, is that I was in fact developing theories that would VALIDATE my experience/existence, within this completely disregarding the implications that would emanate from my theories.

Since I came across the desteni group and started questioning how I created my beliefs and most of all WHY, I realized that the starting-point of it all has always been one point: that I did not have to change. Now I realize that any world view we develop, is aimed at ‘justifying’ our existence as is.
Some theories I had developed included that the world needs to change, but somehow I hadn’t count myself in, nor had I considered in what practical ways the world needs to change or how such change could come forth.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to create a personality/character as ‘the philosopher’ in a quest to explain why my experience was what it was – within this in fact projecting all responsibility to my world/environment, never considering that I, too, require a self-responsible direction towards change.

I forgive myself that I haven’t allowed myself to see, realize and understand that my theories as ‘philosopher’ were based on my desire to see a world united and a human race dignified, yet I was projecting the whole point far too far from myself and from common sense practical application, so much so that any theory would become like a utopia, a dream, that could only be accomplished through some miraculous way.

I forgive myself that I haven’t allowed myself to see, realize and understand that going into spirituality and trying to ‘find’ something there, was in fact a continuation of my philosopher’s trip, in fact further and further away from myself, as I gave my responsibility and directive principle away to concepts of ‘divinity’ and ‘salvation’ that would miraculously take place someday, somewhere, somehow.

I forgive myself that I haven’t allowed myself to see, realize and understand that through that character/personality as ‘the philosopher’ I looked at existence in separation, and never consider what outflows, effects and consequences MY actual practical application in every moment has on existence as a whole;
nor did I consider that I was responsible for the experience of myself and that I had in fact played an equal role in the creation of my experience/existence.

I forgive myself that I hadn’t allowed myself to see, realize and understand that I was creating this personality/character to in a way ‘elevate’ myself from the actuality of my reality into a ‘superior’ position from which I could talk about everything without placing myself as part of it all.

Within this I forgive myself that I had accepted and allowed myself to deny my self-responsibility and instead to create theories that would ‘validate’ my experience as if it were real, instead of investigating and understanding how I myself was creating my experiences through my own acceptances and allowances, and also through the suppressed fear and ‘inferiority’ which I had attempted to hide from, and to do so I had projected a certain ‘superiority’ just to ‘feel better’ while I deny the actuality of my reality.

I forgive myself that I hadn’t allowed myself to consider that all philosophy has thus far brought no substantial change or evolution within our world, because no philosophy has thus far questioned the system it its entirety – which would include self as equal and one to the system.

I forgive myself that I hadn’t allowed myself to see, realize and understand that the human, which includes me, exists in the image and likeness of the system, and that everything that we see ‘out there’ in fact exists ‘in here’, within ourselves, as ourselves – yet we have separated ourselves to such an extent that we claim this cannot be, and we use the layers of deception and pretense as beliefs, fears and desires that we hide behind to ‘justify’ why we are not responsible.

I forgive myself that I haven’t allowed myself to consider the consequence of my application as ‘philosopher’, wherein I not only held myself within a position of believed ‘superiority’ without actually contributing to a better world, but have at the same time allowed others that ‘agreed’ with me to remain trapped in the same constructs as well, as we have mutually ‘validated’ our ‘purpose’ to each-other, just to not have to deal with the fact that we never actually brought forth practical solutions in self-honesty:
we merely talked and talked and talked our minds out, never in fact questioning the system, refusing to see that the only reason we were able to do so was because we had the money that paid for us to waste our time while feeling ‘good’ about it.

I commit myself to showing the common sense that since no philosophy has thus far brought forth any substantial change toward the betterment of life for all of humanity – then we must have missed something substantial on the way: that we have missed ourselves and our responsibility for life, as life.

I commit myself to showing the common sense that if we do not care for life in fact, care enough to question the current system of exploitation and consider practical ways to change the system to the benefit of LIFE as best for all: then we are not equal to life, we are not life, we are less than life – and yet each one of us that has money in their pocket and food to eat is so preoccupied in the mind with ideas of grandeur and profoundness, trying to be MORE than life.

I commit myself to showing the common sense that self-interest (which manifests in the world as the current system of consumerism where profit is placed before life) is not life, it is merely a survival-system which we in our acceptance of fear and ‘inferiority’ have become, and in order to deny this fact we have projected all kinds of ‘superior’ ideas and created systems and concepts to help us pursue these ideas as if they were real – all the while we trap ourselves in an illusion from which it’s gonna take great effort and self-honesty to break free.

I commit myself to showing the common sense that responsibility is in fact power – and that we only refuse to take responsibility out of fear, and only if the current positions of power allow us some level of ‘freedom’ and ‘profit’ while billions suffer.

I commit myself to showing that we only create philosophies to ‘justify’ or ‘explain’ our OWN point of view, without questioning the system, otherwise all wisdom of the world would already have effected a substantial change toward the betterment of life for all, even within the limitations of this reality.

I commit myself to showing the common sense that even our science is in fact not much more than mere philosophy, since the scientists developing/applying science are equally human beings like you and me, trapped within and as a mind consciousness system that is based in fear, denial, and self-interest and thus fails to include self in every equation to see and realize the responsibility each one and all of us together hold for LIFE.

I commit myself to showing the common sense that science and philosophy look ‘out there’ to find answers, while the real questions and answers are right Here, within ourselves and our world, throughout all our relationships; and that if we do not manage to sort THAT out to the benefit of ALL LIFE, then any progress in science or philosophy is but a sort of mental masturbation, an alternate reality luxury while 2/3 of the world suffer –
2/3 of which any ONE could be you or me, since we are born into this world without choice and our survival and opportunities in life are subject to the conditions of our immediate environment.

I commit myself to showing that the time is here to develop a practical philosophy in the interest of LIFE – a philosophy that will go beyond fear to include ALL life in its considerations; a philosophy that will question all current beliefs and will make sure it is not based on belief or mere ‘wishful thinking’; a philosophy that emerges from the actual understanding of this world and how we came to be what we are here now as humanity on earth, the actual understanding of consequence from which would  emerge the solution of how to proceed or what to change in order to no more create such atrocious consequences for life; a philosophy that can be practically applied by anyone and that would be mathematically certain to manifest what is best for ALL life because it has its starting-point in the interest of life as a WHOLE.

To understand more about how we’ve been creating consequence through acceptance and allowance, investigate desteni – to see why we propose an equal money system as a first step towards an actual change in this world, investigate the objectives we present on the website

Day 63: The Questions we Don't Ask

ART by Kelly Posey

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that the questions we ask reveal who we are - because they in fact reveal what we are willing to consider, what we want to hear, what we already presuppose, what we want to have validated.

I commit myself to challenging myself and my world to investigate the question we ask, in the realization that the questions we ask reveal who we are, equal to and one with the starting-point/intent of the question.

I commit myself to showing that within becoming aware of the starting-point / intent of the question: we become aware of who/what we accept ourselves to be equal to.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that the questions we ask reveal our fears and desires, and thus reveal who/what we accept ourselves to be.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that we can never be 'more' than what we accept ourselves to be equal to.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that our desire /yearning /seeking to be 'more' is in fact rooted in our failure /refusal /resistance to realize and face the totality of ourselves.

I commit myself to showing the we can never be 'whole' as long as we refuse to face the totality of ourselves, conscious, subconscious, unconscious –

and that the tools for facing the totality of ourselves within and without are for the first time in the history of mankind shared within the Desteni process, yet each one must make the decision to take on their self-realization in self-honesty through self-will and in fact walk the practical process of self-realization that is not without 'effort', as it involves the self-determined act of writing and self-introspection in self-honesty, to see, realize and understand the mechanics of the mind as what we have become as 'human race', as well as the physical living of self-corrective application to remove the preprogrammed controls and limitations and to recreate/rebirth ourselves in actuality within and as who we are in every moment in the context of life as a whole.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that the questions we don't ask reveal that which we have refused to consider due to the limitations we have accepted and the definitions we have allowed ourselves to impose onto ourselves and life as a whole.

I commit myself to showing that the question asked always entails the answer - and that thus we cannot get to the questions and answers beyond the veils of our accepted limitation unless we remove the veils and forgive our limitations (which are always based in fear) to be able to expand our considerations in common sense to include all cause and effect in the context of all life.

I commit myself to showing that the questions asked always reveal the degree of responsibility one is willing to take for life or not; because the responsibility taken or not is equal to what we accept and allow ourselves to be equal to.

I commit myself to showing that responsibility is in fact real power - and that the only thing standing in our way of taking responsibility for life is self-interest as ego: which is equal to fear.

I commit myself to showing that fear is used as 'justification', 'reason' and 'excuse' to not take self-responsibility - which goes to show that we exist within and as self-dishonesty; and instead of using the mind as a tool for self-realization, we use the mind (or the mind uses us) as a tool for self-deception, self-separation, self-destruction.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that the mind always reveals to us who we are - and as such the mind can, in self-honesty, be used as a tool to move beyond our limitations, forgive the accepted veils of control that we have allowed ourselves to hide behind, and expand ourselves through stopping the ego, stopping the fear, stopping the conditioned patterns of our existence and dis-covering who we are as life in oneness and equality.

I commit myself to utilize questions asked to show the person asking what one is in fact presupposing, desiring and fearing as revealed within the words placed as a question, which, in unawareness, always serve the 'validation' of our conditioned limitations and accepted separation.

I commit myself to showing that the questions asked in unawareness of self in fact reveal the very point of unawareness/separation which in that moment is coming to the surface as a chance for us to see, realize and understand a part of ourselves that we had separated ourselves from;

a chance to face ourselves, bring that point back to self and take the responsibility to answering the question ourselves in self-awareness and self-directive will: wherein we in that moment have the chance, if we take it, to re-define the point and ourselves in a way that will remove the limitation and accepted control and will in fact empower us, through the taking of responsibility, to expand ourselves in self-determination and make an actual choice in relation to 'who we are'.

I commit myself to investigating what my words, thoughts and deeds reveal about ‘who I am’ and what I have become /what I’ve accepted myself to be equal to – so that I may in self-awareness as life remove the accepted and allowed controls and in self-honesty expand my self-determination to make actual choices in relation to ‘who I am’ within the context of life as a whole –
so that ‘who I am’ as reflected within my thoughts, words and deeds is nothing less than who I am as life, as what’s best for all.

Day 45: Compromise is always All-Inclusive

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to realize that compromise is all-inclusive; and that whenever I compromise myself as life, I compromise all life equally.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that whenever I am following automatic reactions, I am in fact compromising myself as life, as I give authority to the conditioned consciousness system to drive me and make my decisions - instead of me being the directive principle in my life as the one determining who I am and how I live, making decisions that are always best for all.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that whenever I submit to and accept the limitations of the conditioned mind consciousness as what automatically comes-up within me: I am compromising myself as life and not allowing myself to expand beyond the bounds of the accepted limitations and live the courage to direct myself in self-honesty.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that whenever I compromise life within and as myself, I am giving permission for the same compromise in everything and everyone else.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand how we are in every breath, with every step and every decision in fact determining and manifesting this world, the future, humanity - and that this is either done in unawareness through our acceptances and allowances OR in self-honesty and self-awareness as life through directive principled living.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that we are creating this world in our image and likeness - and that instead of blaming and pointing fingers and whining about how the world is and has become: we should start practically changing our image and likeness, who we are and how we participate in our world - so that we may manifest the change we want to see in the world, starting with ourselves.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand what compromise means and entails: namely that we compromise life as who we really are in the name of love, profit, god and all kinds of mental constructs and concepts that serve only the preservation of our fears and desires as self-interest.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that fears and desires constitute the basic bipolar design that drives us:
fear and desire being the driving-forces we are 'educated' and controlled with from the very beginning - resulting into human beings existing only in definitions of 'superiority'-'inferiority', in constant competition and comparison, in survival-mode, in fear of each-other, in fear of life/living, each one caged in separate bubbles of the mental, dressed up in different personality-suits presenting fake faces and following fake 'values' –
in spite of the evidence within and without that this polarity system is not supporting life, is not supporting anyone; in spite of the evidence that our bipolar experience as human beings is conditioned which means that it can be changed.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that in this world consciousness system, both polarities ('superiority'-'inferiority', desire-fear, love-hate etc) are designed to serve self-interest only; and that self-interest is always compromising life, as it only regards the conditioned wants, needs and desires of a programmed consciousness, and not the interest of life as common sense which would be what is best for all that is here, including the planet.

I forgive myself that I haven’t allowed myself to see, realize and understand that polarity designs as we live them are in fact a trap, as we can see not only in history repeating in the bigger picture, but also in the individual patterns we are subjected to within ourselves: it’s always cycles of the same ups and downs, we are always cycling, spiralling deeper and deeper into dependency, delusion, separation from who we really are.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that although we identify ourselves with self-interest as what comes-up within our mind as wants, needs and desires: those wants, needs and desires are not in fact in our best interest, they only serve the system and the preservation of the system by making sure we remain limited and hooked in addiction within and dependency without, perpetuating the system so that we can 'survive' - instead of changing the system so that we can LIVE.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand how we accept fear to be our driving force - yet we refuse to acknowledge that we do so, because we have trained ourselves in denial, to only see the 'positive' in an attempt to 'feel good' about ourselves; and because fear is 'negative' we will cover it up with pretty pictures and positive thinking and all kinds of excuses and justifications to not have to face it - to not have to face ourselves.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that self-compromise is in fact self-sabotage, wherein we not only follow the conditioned patterns of the mind as they come up, but also 'evolve' our 'fuzzy logic' of excuses, justifications and reasons as to 'why' we're accepting and allowing what we're accepting and allowing, 'why' we are not daring to live self-honesty, 'why' it's seemingly okay to continue with our existence as we know it - refusing to see that we are sabotaging our own power as life by abdicating it to the mind consciousness systems of polarity that are essentially based in fear and self-interest.

I commit myself to investigating all points wherein I compromise myself as life - so that I may stop all acceptances and allowances that sabotage my power as life and compromise life as that which is best for all.

I commit myself to investigating any and all fears and desires conditioned within my mind that I have allowed to drive and determine who I am - so that I may be/become the directive force of me, no longer subject to mind-control.

I commit myself to demonstrating how we've been existing from the starting-point of fears and desires, rooted in self-interest, and how we are living our lives in self-defence and all kinds of 'protection-mechanisms' while we limit and compromise ourselves as life and all life equally.

I commit myself to demonstrating that just like we compromise life when we exist in self-compromise: we can bring forth solutions that will be best for all life when we live what is best for all.

I commit myself to sharing the common sense that compromise exist where we follow our fears and desires; that compromise exists where there is inequality; and that therefore to stop all compromise and stop compromising life, we require to self-realize, live and apply the principle of life: equality and oneness.

I commit myself to sharing the realization that whenever I accept me as less than who I really am as life - I am accepting less than what life really is/can be for all.

I commit myself to sharing the realization that equality and oneness is the directive principle of existence, meaning that what we create is always equal to and one with who we are as the starting-point of our creation, as creators; and who we are is always equal to and one with what we accept and allow within ourselves and our world.

Therefore I commit myself to investigating and purifying all my acceptances and allowances - so that I as who I am may stand equal to and one with LIFE.

And I commit myself to sharing the common sense understanding that we have been creating our reality through our acceptances and allowances, thus in denial, thus in self-dishonesty; and that we require to get to self-honesty and stop the denial - so that we may start seeing the cause and effect of our existence and take responsibility for who we are and how we participate in our world, in the realization that who we are and how we participate, what we accept and allow: manifests this world, this existence.

I commit myself to bringing forth a world, an existence, where we no longer exist in denial, suppression, self-interest - but stand in full awareness and expression in the interest of life as who we really are.

I commit myself to bringing forth a new economic system that will assist mankind in exactly this process of stopping the accepted enslavement both within and without, stopping the compromise of ourselves as life, and embarking on a journey to actual evolution, in self-awareness as self-willed equals of LIFE.
