350 | Beliefs & Self-Definitions in relation to „My Life“

…If I look at the aspects of my life that apparently define and determine the possibilities and opportunities that I have in “my life” and within this also the ‘value’ I have been attributed to “my life”/myself, I can see that there are still beliefs and self-definitions within me/my mind through which I am limiting myself and keeping myself from expanding, expressing and moving myself toward LIVING to the utmost of my potential.
…I will be looking into such beliefs and self-definitions in self-honesty, to deconstruct them through self-forgiveness and reconstruct the points into solutions by scripting the self-corrective living that I see is required to be walked/lived in order to place the self-realization into practical application and in fact CHANGE.

Looking back, the most prominent experience I have had throughout my life was that of ‘not fitting in’ – which is also why I named this Blog “A Misfit’s Journey to Life”.
Interestingly enough there are some polarity aspects to the word/definition of “Misfit”, which I would like to elaborate on:

On the one hand, there are many people existing as misfits in this world, due to the nature of the world system, where the conditions and circumstances one is born into determine who one can be and what opportunities one will have in life. Being born into war, hunger, starvation, discrimination – leaves its mark on a child already in the formative years.

On the other hand, many people feel like misfits or define themselves as such, even though they exist in conditions that are not as severe as for instance hunger, starvation, poverty, famine. Defining oneself as a ‘misfit’ and sticking to it, without making the effort to examine the implications as well as the motives for such self-definition, has consequences.

For instance, what I can say when I look back at my life and how I have lived my life based on such self-definition, is the following:

For a long time I considered myself ‘superior’ to the people that were able to easily integrate themselves within the system, I considered those people to be merely sheep while I considered myself to be ‘something better’. It is easy to see the arrogance within this, especially since for a long time I had not asked myself what it is the shapes the human, what it is that forms what we call ‘human nature’.

When I came across Desteni and started asking myself the ‘difficult questions’ as well as questioning the system in its entirety and investigating how the things that we perceive and accept as ‘normal’ come to be, I realized that I there had in fact existed a suppressed feeling of ‘inferiority’ within me, because actually there was a time where I did want and wish to be ‘normal’, to be just like everyone else, to ‘fit in’, to not have to feel ‘different’ or the ‘odd one out’.

In an attempt to compensate for such experiences – instead of examining the experience of ‘inferiority’ in self-honesty – I had attempted to make myself ‘more’, and so I suppressed and denied that experience within myself, and created all kinds of beliefs about people, society, the world, and myself, making myself feel ‘superior’ in my mind and finding ways to exist that made me ‘feel better’ about myself. One such ‘way’ was the spiritual path. (If you want to read more about how I dealt with spirituality, do a search on my Blog.)

349 | Self Commitment - Responsibility for „My Life“ & Responsibility for Life as a Whole

Day 348 | Self Commitment - "My Life"

…I realize that by projecting responsibility and expecting others/external factors to ‘fulfill’ my life / me – I am in fact giving my power away and accepting/defining that I am powerless and incomplete.
I commit myself to stop the projection of my responsibility onto ‘external factors’ and to stop expecting something/someone to fulfill me.
…I commit myself to stop defining “my life” through the eyes of the system, as I realize that I am the one that decides my worth – I am the one that decides what my life is worth, and it is through my actions and also through my inactions that I express and determine what my life is worth.
...Therefore I commit myself to value my life and to accept self-worth as me here. I commit myself to act/live in awareness of who I am in every moment and what my actions imply, to within self-awareness make sure that I no longer abdicate my value as life, that I no longer depreciate my life /myself, and that I no longer expect others/external factors to give me ‘value’.
…I commit myself to embrace my life and myself, as I realize that the life given to me is a gift – and I’d be foolish and spiteful to depreciate this gift based on concepts/ideas/judgments of the mind/the system.
…I realize that what I make out of my life and out of myself is MY responsibility; and that every moment, every breath, every action or inaction defines and determines and accumulates into: what my life is and will be.
...I realize that responsibility is power – not the ‘power’-definition of the system, but power as the breath of life, as I see that the only ‘place’ I have actual power is in every breath, in every moment – wherein I am able to take self-responsibility and direct myself as best for life, participating and interacting in life in a way that support me as life, and thus consequently in a way that equally supports all life.
...Therefore I commit myself to live in full self-responsibility, as I walk every moment in awareness, and to embrace the power that comes along with responsibility, as I realize that only I have the power to forgive myself, only I have the power to change myself, only I have the power to value my life, only I have the power to live – Because if I don’t, no one can do it for me.

Continuing:

I commit myself to no longer make myself and my life subject to external factors and to my ideas and beliefs about how such factors apparently determine ‘who I am’ – as I realize that it is only through my permission that external factors define me and that I thus am able to take SELF-responsibility for ‘who I am’ and how “my life” is.

I commit myself to – when and as I see myself abdicating my responsibility for “my life”, expecting for something/someone to give me the permission to live, or to give me the power to change, or to give me the fulfillment I need/want/desire, or to give me the worth/value that I feel I lack, so that I can feel “my life” is worth something – Stop and breathe.
I realize that the worth and value of “my life” is what I make of it, therefore I take full responsibility for who I am and what my life is and will be. I no longer accept or allow myself to create expectations, or hopes, or the need/want/desire for something/someone to do something so that “my life” can change. Instead, I take full self-responsibility for the change I want to see and experience in my life.

I commit myself to no longer define and accept my life or myself as ‘worthless’ or ‘unworthy’, and instead: I accept, acknowledge and establish my life in self-worth – by accepting, acknowledging and establishing self-worth as ME, here, in every moment, within and as who I am in practical living, in thought, word and deed.

Now –

An interesting point I see here is the following:

Yes, in the current system, we have indeed limited opportunities as the opportunities and possibilities each one has are subject to MONEY and the world systems, which is obviously why there exists no such thing as ‘equal opportunities’ in fact.

Now – if we accept and allow ourselves as individuals to submit to the inequality that is existent in the world, without moving ourselves to the best of our ability to investigate and break through the accepted limitations we have imposed onto ourselves/our lives individually, how are we ever to break through the current system of inequality and limitation that allows for so much abuse in this world and for the ruthless exploitation of life in the name of profit?

Dignity and respect for LIFE begins within self. How can we ever get to a world where all life is equally valued and supported, if we do not even value our own life enough to move ourselves through that which we can change, through that which we see is not supportive or even unnecessary to hold onto, through the limitations that only exist because we have accepted them in our mind based on the systematic deception and abuse we have subjected ourselves to in the context of the world system and the consumerism culture…

Day 63: The Questions we Don't Ask

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that the questions we ask reveal who we are - because they in fact reveal what we are willing to consider, what we want to hear, what we already presuppose, what we want to have validated.

I commit myself to challenging myself and my world to investigate the question we ask, in the realization that the questions we ask reveal who we are, equal to and one with the starting-point/intent of the question.

I commit myself to showing that within becoming aware of the starting-point / intent of the question: we become aware of who/what we accept ourselves to be equal to.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that the questions we ask reveal our fears and desires, and thus reveal who/what we accept ourselves to be.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that we can never be 'more' than what we accept ourselves to be equal to.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that our desire /yearning /seeking to be 'more' is in fact rooted in our failure /refusal /resistance to realize and face the totality of ourselves.

I commit myself to showing the we can never be 'whole' as long as we refuse to face the totality of ourselves, conscious, subconscious, unconscious –

and that the tools for facing the totality of ourselves within and without are for the first time in the history of mankind shared within the Desteni process, yet each one must make the decision to take on their self-realization in self-honesty through self-will and in fact walk the practical process of self-realization that is not without 'effort', as it involves the self-determined act of writing and self-introspection in self-honesty, to see, realize and understand the mechanics of the mind as what we have become as 'human race', as well as the physical living of self-corrective application to remove the preprogrammed controls and limitations and to recreate/rebirth ourselves in actuality within and as who we are in every moment in the context of life as a whole.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that the questions we don't ask reveal that which we have refused to consider due to the limitations we have accepted and the definitions we have allowed ourselves to impose onto ourselves and life as a whole.

I commit myself to showing that the question asked always entails the answer - and that thus we cannot get to the questions and answers beyond the veils of our accepted limitation unless we remove the veils and forgive our limitations (which are always based in fear) to be able to expand our considerations in common sense to include all cause and effect in the context of all life.

I commit myself to showing that the questions asked always reveal the degree of responsibility one is willing to take for life or not; because the responsibility taken or not is equal to what we accept and allow ourselves to be equal to.

I commit myself to showing that responsibility is in fact real power - and that the only thing standing in our way of taking responsibility for life is self-interest as ego: which is equal to fear.

I commit myself to showing that fear is used as 'justification', 'reason' and 'excuse' to not take self-responsibility - which goes to show that we exist within and as self-dishonesty; and instead of using the mind as a tool for self-realization, we use the mind (or the mind uses us) as a tool for self-deception, self-separation, self-destruction.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that the mind always reveals to us who we are - and as such the mind can, in self-honesty, be used as a tool to move beyond our limitations, forgive the accepted veils of control that we have allowed ourselves to hide behind, and expand ourselves through stopping the ego, stopping the fear, stopping the conditioned patterns of our existence and dis-covering who we are as life in oneness and equality.

I commit myself to utilize questions asked to show the person asking what one is in fact presupposing, desiring and fearing as revealed within the words placed as a question, which, in unawareness, always serve the 'validation' of our conditioned limitations and accepted separation.

I commit myself to showing that the questions asked in unawareness of self in fact reveal the very point of unawareness/separation which in that moment is coming to the surface as a chance for us to see, realize and understand a part of ourselves that we had separated ourselves from;

a chance to face ourselves, bring that point back to self and take the responsibility to answering the question ourselves in self-awareness and self-directive will: wherein we in that moment have the chance, if we take it, to re-define the point and ourselves in a way that will remove the limitation and accepted control and will in fact empower us, through the taking of responsibility, to expand ourselves in self-determination and make an actual choice in relation to 'who we are'.

I commit myself to investigating what my words, thoughts and deeds reveal about ‘who I am’ and what I have become /what I’ve accepted myself to be equal to – so that I may in self-awareness as life remove the accepted and allowed controls and in self-honesty expand my self-determination to make actual choices in relation to ‘who I am’ within the context of life as a whole –
so that ‘who I am’ as reflected within my thoughts, words and deeds is nothing less than who I am as life, as what’s best for all.
