570 | Overprotectiveness & Self Responsibility - Part 2

I'm continuing from my previous post.

We meet new people, new groups, new projects all the time. Our paths cross as we attract to each other based on resonant patterns, a likeness of mind, out of which we have the opportunity to work together and also to learn something more about ourselves.

My relationships with people and groups in my life have not been too many, as I have been a rather introverted individual, enjoying spending time with myself, my interests, writings, hobbies etc. I had been more on an inner path throughout my life rather than an external career path for example.

In my relationships however, i.e. the time and space I allocated and did share with others, I always valued the qualities of trust and transparency and expected these values to be lived and applied equally. When trust or transparency seemed threatened I’d tend to go into overprotectiveness, trying to ‘save’ the situation; instead of reevaluating the relationship, as that would be a point of self responsibility.

Obviously the value of my life and the purpose I give myself cannot be determined by any outside force. And yes, I will find people who share my values and yes I will be part of groups and projects, however it is up to me to measure and assess and evaluate in space time whether others in my life align/resonate with me.

What opens up for me in self honesty is the following: it’s not I that require to align myself to others – rather it’s about aligning myself to my own values. And indeed, there are no “others”. Meaning, the “others” in my life are always an extension of me, a resonance of me. And therefore, when “others” in my life ‘disappoint’, where I feel my trust is broken or where I access overprotectiveness, I can instead take the point back to self and take self responsibility.

And here I could see that there were times where I did not trust myself to stand by my perspective, by what I see and why this is what I see. Instead, I had accepted that others are more valid – and that comes from attaching the points of trust, value, purpose and path to something in separation from myself.

Therefore I commit myself to trust myself and to not fear standing by my self honesty.

I commit myself to not blindly accept another’s opinion or plan as valid just because they tell me they know better or just because I had ‘assigned’ that person/group/project the ‘authority’ to hold the values, to hold the purpose, to hold the path –

Therefore I am committed to self responsibility and to reassessing and redefining my values, my purpose and my path, to be more clear and more practical in walking my journey in this one life on earth.

I commit myself to live who I am as a living being, equal to and one with the value of life, and to embrace and apply self trust and self worth, realizing that I am the only one that can GIVE that to myself.

I will continue in my next post with further deconstructing the construct of overprotectiveness.

569 | Overprotectiveness & Self Responsibility

I forgive myself that I’ve accepted and allowed myself to access overprotectiveness – where I’m being overprotective toward someone/something for fear of them being in some way harmed or going down a path that I see will not be beneficial for them;
where what I can see is that, in accessing the experience and mind-state of overprotectiveness, I place both myself and whatever it is I am trying to (over)protect into an inferior position and going into negativity.

I forgive myself that I’ve accepted and allowed myself to not see, realize and understand that this overprotectiveness indicates certain expectations and standards I hold, and therefore in fact I am not only trying to (over)protect a point outside myself (person/group/project) but also an inner alignment that I had accepted to exist as my relationship to it, where I had attached a certain value to a person/group/project instead of simply living that value for and as myself.

Now this is quite interesting to observe within the parent–child relationship where the parent becomes overprotective of the child, to a bigger or lesser extent.
Where such pattern is manifested physically i.e. where it is obvious that the parent is overprotective of the child, one will also observe how the parent also manifests a form of ‘living through the child’, through its experiences and achievements, its progress and development, and so on. Often the parent will try and give the child everything and push them to be successful, not seldom the parent even –consciously or unconsciously– will attempt to lead the child to do, be and become what the parent had wanted to do, be and become as a means of fulfilling their own (the parent’s) dreams. The child then tries to live up to the expectations of the parent – however an interesting outflow of this all is the following:

While the parent is overprotective there exists a subtle acceptance of deferring self-responsibility, as that responsibility is being projected unto the child. At the same time the child will not learn the true practical nature of self responsibility as they are busy living up to concrete or perceived expectations.

These points are very interesting, and this insight helped me realize that by accessing overprotectiveness I am also looking at a point where I had deferred self responsibility;
where I had projected trust, value, purpose, and path into that which I become overprotective about, which indicates that I had not yet accepted and embraced  trust value, purpose, and path within myself and as myself: self realized, self determined, self willed.

Which indicates for me that, when it comes to self definitions and purpose, I had accepted and allowed myself to be defined by an external point (a person/a group/a project), projecting my trust, my value, my purpose, my path into that point and then attempting to live trust, value, purpose and path by ‘following’ that point.

So what I also found interesting is that, while I did project the point onto something/someone outside myself; for that to happen in the first place indicates that a certain resonance is met. Meaning, that point represents a point or quality or principle already existent within me.
The important matter I see for myself here is that of self honesty. Because why then separate myself from any quality or principle or value and attach that to something/someone else? Why not remain focused on and with myself, making sure ‘what I follow’ is always in alignment with ME.

We meet new people, new groups, new projects all the time. Our paths cross as we attract to each other based on resonant patterns, a likeness of mind, out of which we have the opportunity to work together and also to learn something more about ourselves.

I will take it from here in my next post.

568 | Humanity Maturing?

I’m continuing looking into Maturity as a living word, and one point from my previous post on Maturity was the aspect of ‘completion’ or the ‘ripening’ of something – so that got me thinking, that perhaps maturity is not an absolute. Meaning, there can be aspects/situations/patterns in your life where you have applied and developed yourself to be mature in who and how you are in relation to those particular aspects/situations/patterns, and there may be some others that you’re not yet mature in relation to, where you for instance still react towards.
So perhaps then also the question: what IS maturing? What are we creating /what is being created and how? And in relation to self: What am I maturing as? What is maturing within me as me? I’ve looked into this aspect in my post 565 | What on Earth are we Creating? which you can reference here if you like.

So that got me thinking:
Can life mature? Or is it a program/consciousness that matures?
For one thing I can say that awareness can mature – if/as it’s realized and nurtured.

So perhaps in looking at systems we can say that systems are mutating rather than maturing. Because all systems act respectively in self-awareness as self-interest; each with its own agenda (think for example blame, or anger, or jealousy, or any personality system, e.g. the self-pity personality or the megalomaniac – all that is of ego/consciousness systems).
There must, however, be existent always the possibility of maturity of being, maturity of character as a constant, a presence of self. This however is the state where the systems have been transcended in the sense that they have no grip on self. This is something for each one individually to strive in living application within who one is and how one lives; but we must also acknowledge that our bondage is existent not only within, but also without – as the world system of bondage, the utter exploitation and deception of life. Thus, within as without, it is a parallel process of freeing ourselves of the bonds we had accepted and beliefs we had limited ourselves to, freeing ourselves from everything that suppresses our full potential as life. We are indeed moving in awareness into a more organic transformation process, through communication, through sharing, through looking at the world from a solution approach –
to everything that we’re currently facing as human beings, as humanity.

Back to the questions and looking at this existence, our creation, we can say we have matured as delusional egos, as profit-driven parasites, as fearful servants, as unfortunate slaves – depending on what level of the hierarchy we were born into. In any case – a disaster has matured on earth.
Hence we are writing ‘end times’ scenarios as we speak, lol. However it doesn’t have to be this way. Not all is lost. We are still here. And after all, if we are the ones writing the scenarios, then we can still change our course and divert ourselves/our world from self destruction and into supportive, constructive best-for-life living; where we place life before profit, life before ego.

The incredible history of mankind and the blood shed for profit through deceit and deception is being exposed more and more, the ‘end times’ is near but it need not be the end of humanity. Let it be the end of a system of abuse and exploitation. Let it be the end of an ego driven existence. Let it be the end of fear. Let it be the end of suppression and oppression. It’s life standing up.

The veils are lifting, and we are starting to realize more and more that we are not the sheep we were meant to be; we do not have to be.
Indeed it is time to mature as HUMANITY, as LIFE – as true care, true awareness and interdependence, true morality and fairness and consideration for everything that is here;
To mature into absolute self-response-ability and CARE.

To live maturity entails a depth that comes from the deep interdependence we exist within and as, that is real. To live maturity entails a patience and a gentleness, a slowing down and opening up so as to embrace anything and everything, correcting/healing that which is of ‘evil’, and nurturing that which is ‘live’ as life. Embrace everything, so that that ‘thing’ can find it within itself to nurture itself as life, and thus become life and be life and create life.
I believe that we become life in shedding the masks and the systems that we have adopted / accepted / allowed and moving beyond our accepted beliefs and limitations into truly dis-covering life’s potential. This we do individually and collectively, together. It is OUR humanity that is at stake – our SOUL if you will.

To live maturity entails realizing self as the source; Maturity begins within self and the relationship one cultivates within oneself, toward one’s own life, toward life itself; this one life that is the ultimate gift and the ultimate opportunity to get real, to make a difference, to mature not only oneself but one’s world and reality into its utmost and full potential as LIFE –
realizing responsibility and manifesting care –
step by step, moment to moment, breath by breath in awareness as LIFE.

Let’s get our HUMANITY MATURE – let's mature in our humanity, as humanity, and together we can change our existence and our world for-real and establish new ways of living that will support all life and allow us to truly evolve, express, learn, expand, and… find out what more there is to our existence! It is what we make it – so let’s do it!
