592 | I Do Not Belong

belong (v.)
mid-14c., "to go along with, properly relate to," from be- intensive prefix, + longen "to go," from Old English langian "pertain to, to go along with," which is of uncertain origin but perhaps related to the root of long (adj.). Senses of "be the property of" and "be a member of" first recorded late 14c. Cognate with Middle Dutch belanghen, Dutch belangen, German belangen. Replaced earlier Old English gelang, with completive prefix ge-.

I do not belong

Why belong?

longing to belong – would that actually mean we do not belong to our own self, that we are not acknowledging our own existence as whole, as sufficient, as capable? Would that then mean we do not even know our own self?

…Man Know Thyself…
What is the true meaning of these words?
And if you know your strengths and weaknesses
do you really need to belong,
When you can be here in awareness,
acknowledging your own spirit,
embodying your own will and authority,
honoring your right to self-determination,
sovereignty of self and peace of mind,
trusting your own ability to learn and grow
and live the self-directive of making your own choices,
the choices that will truly honor your own divinity
as life’s full potential?

When everything around you crumbles
will you go along with it?

580 | Ground Level: Embrace Yourself, You Are the Universe

So I’ve been talking about reigniting my passion and daring to be myself, and within all that process I’ve been realizing the obvious more and more: you cannot embrace the world before you embrace yourself. You cannot embrace everything, before you embrace everything of yourself. You cannot love, before you can love yourself as life.
Learning to love as life, realizing the value of life – that is one major aspect of the lessons humanity is here to learn. Why are we here? Why is our world the way it is? Well it’s easy to point fingers and want to hold others responsible, it’s easy to wallow in blame and anger and bitterness or even in despair and hopelessness. But what about self responsibility? And what about self empowerment?
It’s cool to see that humanity as a group – currently as various different groups, are maturing, are getting to the tough questions, and most importantly, are bringing the points back to self, back to responsibility.
Responsibility is power. Abuse of power is not power, at least not for long. The systems of deception around us are crumbling. The systems of deception within can only crumble and be transformed in awareness of life, in self awareness. Or through trauma, but obviously that would not be commendable.
I am the Universe. My body is a universe. My body is the temple which I inhabit and which carries me through life – this one life, this one opportunity. If I as a body, a being on earth, stand in integrity, in oneness and equality as life, then that will resonate out to other bodies, the other cells as selves/self of the One Universe, the Body of Life that we all share.
To embrace all of me I had to step out of all ideas and projections ABOUT me/my life, and get to the ground level. Ground Zero. I had to come to the point of self forgiveness. To no longer hold on to regret or self judgment or ideas and thoughts that I did not in awareness choose to carry within me. To no longer carry the past as a burden, but as a lesson that I learned, as my process of awakening, which I am obviously still walking.
Why is it apparently so difficult to embrace ourselves? How do we give our power away? And how do we take it back? Self honesty, passion, love of life, the courage to make decisions, self responsibility – these are some of the words that define our true power and the way toward embracing ourselves, embracing life.
Here is a video I have often cherished and embraced in gratefulness throughout my process:

579 | Re-igniting my Passion & Daring to Be Myself

Continuing from the previous two posts
A further interesting aspect that opened up within it all has been: daring to be myself.
What does that even mean?
Well for one it’s about how we tend to form and mold our self-image and behavior around our ideas of what is expected of us – who we’re supposed to be.
This brings along things like self suppression, holding self back, or even depression and more physical consequences. Imagine spending your life trying to be something, trying to be someone. This is mostly what life has become. Hardly do we receive or even perceive the opportunity to really get to know ourselves, our nature, our strengths and weaknesses, our interests, our natural talents and skills, or even our roots and history, which whether we like it or not do define us or at least leave a mark in forming 'who we are'.
Daring to be myself has thus a lot to do with opening myself up to the entirety of my life and my life experience and looking at everything, even that which hurts, even regrets and judgments and basically any polarities, and standing in self honesty, so as to be able to determine who I want to be.
But even this ‘who I want to be’ is then based on who I am – who I really am and know I can be, in terms of my full potential as life. So we are not talking about creating an idea or picture in one’s mind here, which one then tries to ‘fulfill’. No. In fact, that is what the entire world system gets us to do already – this is the ‘old way’, the preprogrammed way. Now we need a ‘new program’, a new world, a new way of life, for real. And for all. What we need is Awareness as life – that’s why you’ll hear more and more: “we need to wake up”.
That’s what waking up means. Realizing that: we are here, and we have been asleep; we have been hypnotized and have even become master hypnotizers ourselves, lol, while we keep on playing the game,  the game that we call life.
I take it most will agree that life is not a game, so yes, it’s time to stop the game and redefine life, it’s time to dare get real – individually and collectively.
What is important to you, and why?
What is of importance for humanity on earth?
And could it be the answer to both questions is of similar nature?

And just to round up the point of the word 'Daring'; I use the word simply because I found it takes courage...but especially because I find that we do not even notice how we are 'not ourselves', how we tend to keep ourselves limited or distracted or stuck or holding back...
So, which also brings us back to the word and expression of Passion, because when I am genuine and present in the moment, here, I can be passionate about whatever is relevant in the context of the moment and about expressing and sharing who I am in relation to everything/everyone else involved. I can also be passionate about principles that truly resonate with who I am, which I can then express in my own individualized or unique way, such as truth, integrity, equality, support.

So, even with it being rather about being than daring, the Being itself -to Be, to Live, to be Alive and Awake- does sometimes require some daring, lol, some courage, where we have to move ourselves through layers of conditioning, and push ourselves beyond our accepted limitations.

We're gonna have to do that as Humanity as well- as One, as a collective, as life on earth...

578 | Reigniting my Passion & Making Decisions – part 2

I’m continuing from my previous post

What I found was that the more I allowed myself to ‘come down to’ self honesty, the more I realized that the way I’d been making my decisions hadn’t been as self determined as it could have been – meaning: where instead of taking into consideration who I am, I was rather taking into consideration who I’m supposed to be. This is bluntly put, just so you get my drift.

So then I found layers of expectations and projections, all in picture form, of how I was looking at myself and how I was seeing my life, within that also many self definitions, boiling down to the realization that, cool, I am getting to Ground Zero, the ground zero of me, and I can now really look at who I am and what defines me. And most importantly the question: who will I define myself? Who am I when everything else fall away.

Now, with grounding myself into and with self honesty – I could see more clearly. I could see where past decisions were coming from and I could see that I now wanted to clear and ground my starting point ‘back to self’.

Once I started doing that – and interestingly enough it was again and again through the experience of ‘disappointment’ involving “other people” that I was ‘forced’ to let the projection go and bring the point back to myself to see what that ‘disappointment’ was actually showing me about ME – once I started doing that, that was where I started reigniting my passion, the spark of life that I am.
What does it mean to LIVE?

Do you happen to know people who will do anything and everything “for others” and then go into a state of self-victimization when “others” do not reciprocate?
It’s quite disgusting in a way, and I can say that because I grew up with a mother like this, lol. But what’s worse is, I had found the very same pattern existing within me in different manifestations. Is that really living? Is that really contributing to life? Or is it rather a point of self abdication, where one’s one value and worth is made dependent on ‘how others respond’, thus validation, acceptance, approval is sought out from the outside, while the relationship with self as the source deteriorates.
I have written about the processes that opened up for me in this context in my posts on Overprotectiveness, which you can reference here

Now back to the initial point – PASSION – what is that, where is it, and why is it not here – if you’re asking yourself these questions then what you need is to ground yourself with where you’re at and allow yourself to be honest with yourself.

577 | Re-igniting my Passion & Making Decisions

I made an interesting discovery within this past year.
I’ve had to make several important decisions and I have learned a lot. It’s been interesting and it’s been tough, especially with things moving faster, as our reality accelerates. It’s as if time had been compounding, and all the various aspects and dimensions of my life been opening up for me to face, understand, deal with and direct.
Reigniting my passion had come along with an interesting process that I’d been walking, namely that of having to make some important decisions on several different matters.
What I found was that the severity of the decisions pushed me to self honesty. Severity meaning, I could see that my decisions, whatever they would be, would have a considerable outflow/consequence for my future.
This is a good time to be reminded of the definition / nature of what consequence is: and that is simply the outflow and playout of decisions we make. Therefore it is good to be aware of who we are in every moment, as even the small decisions we make in moments define us, and have accumulative outflows.
What we create is who we are. We always face ourselves. Which is where lies both the tragedy and the hope, lol, that is – both the problem and the solution. I hate to say it but here we are again with the chicken and egg question.
Life continues with or without us. Will we be consciousness machines that follow a preprogrammed path to self destruction – or will we be living beings that birth themselves and a new world from the physical, from that which is here as accepted and allowed – into an existence of truth, of empowerment, of cooperation, of transparency, of respect and support, of freedom and peace, of LIFE.
It is not life evolving through us, it is us reconnecting to life as the one creative force we all have in common.
Start with the air we breathe, the earth we walk on, the food we eat; the relationships we entertain, the people in our lives, the environment we live in.
Start with yourself, in asking yourself the question: WHY am I doing what I’m doing? What is my passion in life? Is it something that supports and enhances not only my life but also that of others? Is it something that opens doors, encourages reflection, ignites insight? Is it something I do because it’s who I am?
If yes – excellent – you are walking your life in real-time, contributing in real space-time to the betterment of life on earth. Reach out and share yourself – you are the gift you carry with you wherever you go.
If not  – you know you are not at ease, you aren’t living your full potential, you haven’t yet truly arrived: at your ground level, yourself.
Don’t step into the trap when the mind tempts you into self-judgment. Rather embrace it in self honesty, and pick yourself up right where you’re at.
You will find that in doing so, you support yourself to ask the real questions, and to see the real answers. The real answers meaning: the ones coming from the truth of yourself, in terms of; why I’m doing what I’m doing – or it could be: why I’m not doing what I know I should be doing.
Whenever it comes to making decisions, I’ve learned to ask myself: From what starting-point am I making this decision? And in terms of clearing/clarifying your starting-point you can ask questions like: ‘what’ is making my decision? What is my decision based on? Do I think/feel that when making this decision I will be a ‘good person’ or be ‘doing the right thing’? Am I making this decision to not disappoint “others”? Am I making this decision because I fear making another decision? These are some examples of what you can come up with in terms of getting to that honesty with yourself that will allow you to make ‘best decisions’ based on seeing the whole picture and being able to take everything/everyone into consideration.
I will continue in my next post and share more about the point of PASSION

Day 524 | Self-Honesty vs Morality

ART by ScottCook

and
Day 523 | Self Honesty and Reactions

What I found within my own process is that when I react negatively to another, even very slightly (with for example thoughts/ideas about another or criticizing something about them) I always found that I was doing within myself the exact same thing for which I had judged/criticized THEM
(maybe I was doing it in other situations and in a different way/expression, but the pattern was the same, even though I hated to admit/see it).
In the same way, whenever I reacted positively to another (for example in admiration) I always found that the point/aspect/quality I was looking at and admiring: was in fact a point/aspect/quality which I hadn't yet allowed myself to develop/embrace/express within and as myself.

So - in both cases (positive/negative) - I was separating myself from a certain point (eg. admiration, or eg. judgment) - until I realized that I can in fact look at: How does this point/expression/good thing or bad thing: exist within ME?

With both kinds of reactions (negative/positive) I was able to utilize my reactions to learn from them - because in essence: our reactions are showing us something about OURSELVES; they are defining who SELF is, they are not defining who another is.

Though, I also did have a phase in my process where I was 'trying' not to have reactions, lol, so in my mind I was trying to make it so as if "I am not having any reactions", lol, because I thought/believed that this would make me a 'better person' lol.
Or - I was trying very hard to look at things in a certain way within my mind, simply because it made me 'feel better'.
It's fascinating to what extent we'll go within our minds to not see things for what they are, lol, and to not be honest with ourselves about what we experience within ourselves, and about what we do with ourselves in our own minds.

So, what I'm concluding here is that we only trap ourselves in our minds if we go by 'right' and 'wrong', 'good' and 'bad'. There is no 'right' and 'wrong' here, it is about self-honesty (which, in itself is the most difficult 'thing' to grasp and to live by) - and each one walk their own path of realizing self honesty.
What I can say is: self-honesty is not something 'good' or 'beautiful'. Self honesty is the truth of ourselves.
And even the truth of ourselves can be changed, once seen/realized.
Who we are determines who we become.

To make it more simple, ask yourself the question, what is more real, as in: what reflects reality best -
self-honesty as the truth of ourselves in thought, word and deed,  OR morality as the 'good' vs. 'bad' ideas we hold in our minds oh so dear?

It's fascinating though because in our 'morality' we always have roles assigned to ourselves and roles assigned to others, in how we see others and how we see ourselves, and we're like trying so hard to fulfill the roles and be this person or be that person, and look I am like this because THEY are like that, so they must change, etc. - all of this, the never-ending inner chatter that keeps trying to 'prove' how we are 'right' and everyone else is wrong, all this comes from that point of 'morality', imagine that!

Obviously REAL morality would result in a world that is best for all, where we don't have to fear each other, where we don't have to fear for our children, where we can LIVE instead of surviving - so, obviously morality doesn't really exist in this world.
Investigate self-honesty, it's a journey, but it's inevitable. We cannot escape ourselves.

Day 523 | Self Honesty and Reactions

re-act-i-on

The [re] indicates a repetition, a re-enacting;
The [act] indicates the acting-out, an action that is triggered through a stimulus;
The [i] is the I that acts - the I we have become as consciousness/ego;
The [on] indicating our separation, as our actions and reactions are always projected toward 'others', on-to 'others', or even toward the world/the system as we act out our mental and emotional programs, our attitudes, our moods, our belief-systems.

In this context I was recently having a chat where the discussion revolved around reactions and the energetic (inner movement) experiences that come-up as mental-emotional states within our bodies and minds.

Now -
Energetic reactions can be very subtle, for example, say I enter a room where I haven't been before, for example the waiting room at a new clinic, and the first person I see at the reception gives me an impression that gives me a certain feeling/emotion = this would be a reaction (positive or negative) - which will often determine my whole experience at the doctor's, even though it has nothing per se to do with the doctor and his/her clinic.

Now what we tend to do in that moment is try and 'rationalize' our reaction and make it 'right' in our mind, where we in our head 'explain' to ourselves what/why OTHERS are doing and how OTHERS make us feel or what we can apparently conclude [con-clued], and within that we shift our attention from self to 'others' -- but in essence, whatever we think we see in others basically reflects our own self.

How is that? For example:

By asking myself this question and exploring/investigating the point within me as ME - which, to do, I had to stop taking another's reaction personally, stop judging them, and see the point in how it exists as a pattern; at the same time if I cannot see/recognize a pattern in another's reaction or expression, then I must at my own experience and if it's an experience I know i.e. I've been through that before: then I must look at how THAT exists as a pattern and how I practically re-create that experience for myself within myself -
Once I asked the question of how this exists within me and my world, thus how I, ME, am responsible in the creation or manifestation or re-creation of such situation/experience, I found that I could see and realize very interesting things about myself which I wasn't aware of before, and I could expand myself - which is quite amazing!

Our reactions are showing us something about OURSELVES; they are defining who SELF is, they are not defining who another is.

This is something everyone can relate to, we've all had a moment or another where we could see something about ourselves or an experience of ourselves that we didn't like, and actually see how WE are the ones responsible, which also means that We are the ones that can change it.

So - fascinating - responsibility is power - and by taking responsibility and taking our power back we can have real impact.

This is what 'lifting the veils' in essence is all about.
