In the process of 'getting real' and making my approach to Life and Living more practical, more real-time physical-reality oriented and less mental/intellectual, as well as moving from ego to life, I see the emphasis more on the actual living of/in moments wherein my behavior, thoughts, words and deeds reflect who I am and how I stand.
This 'who I am' and 'how I stand' is usually in our world/society determined by environmental imprints, influences, perceptions and belief-systems. These are the factors around which we, mostly unaware, design our self-beliefs: our ideas and judgments about ourselves, our fears and desires, the perception and thus experience of ourselves in the world – it is all conditioned, that 'self' as consciousness is in fact pre-designed, we merely become it, embody it, so much so that it’s “just who we are”, and we are predictable.
With awareness of and about the patterns and systems that make up that 'self', as one starts to question the world, the systems, the accepted human nature and consequently one's own self (or all that in reverse);
With self-honesty in terms of seeing where and how such ideas and judgments, fears and desires, beliefs and definitions, ‘inferiorities’ and ‘superiorities’ are self-limiting, degrading, or abusive, deceptive – how such matrices are a construct in the image and likeness of this equally abusive and deceptive world system, and not who we really are as LIFE;
And with practical common sense in terms of seeing and understanding one’s own role/part within the creation of it all and taking self-responsibility;
one realizes that practical principles are required to ground and allocate self, and for me that principle I remember already as a child has been: the value of life, equality and oneness. I didn’t understand why religion existed, why people defined themselves by their differences and would fight for their ‘own’ to be ‘the best’. In fact most children will probably tell you that what’s best includes all.
In terms of how to live by principle in everyday life, practically, holistically, in all aspects of my life, I embrace the following principles that I’d like to share here for others to consider or be inspired but also for myself –
as I in writings to come want to visit each principle/aspect and have a look at how I have lived it so far or whether I had limited myself in that aspect, look at how I as an individual expression of life can uniquely embody such living principle, and where/how I can support myself more effectively in expanding my personal awareness, freedom and thus also responsibility – in moving myself in alignment with my principles and living my values such that the value does not remain in the mental/intellectual realm but is made real through/as real living in every moment -
hence the realization: it is I in awareness as life/as LIVING in every moment with every breath that is challenged here to take directive and live by principle - through my behavior, my participation, my thoughts, words, and deeds, my presence as who I am, in every moment. I decide who I am.
In every moment thus is decided and accumulated: who I am. So where am I in every moment? Do I decide who I am? How do I decide who I am in every moment? I'd suggest for anyone to ask themselves, we must ask ourselves whether we define our life and world within our minds, thus one would only always see one's own mind and never reality for what it is –
or whether we define our life and world around what is really here and how the here works; and within that: we have the choice to either continue with the power-games and mind-games (the kindergarten of the 'human condition') in the name of self-interest/profit, OR, to stop -in the name of life- and consider that there is a way that the value of life can be restored, and that is the win-win equation of the principle/value of life as oneness and equality LIVED individually –
and together as humanity, as one group of LIFE.
