279: The Power of the Group – Why is Life not ONE

I am looking at the power of the group and how throughout my experience and participation with the Desteni group I have been supported and have supported others in a process of self-honesty, common sense and self-realization, wherein a strength is being developed and established that is in a way ‘new’ to the ordinary human experience, from the perspective that it is an actual strength, a strength of character, a strength seen in one’s ability to deal with and direct personal and collective issues in self-honesty and common sense, a strength seen in the fact that I have throughout my process become more stable within myself and less likely to ‘fall back’ to old patterns that were not supporting me or to react in ways that would not support others in my world.

Now – looking at the word GROUP, what comes up is that humanity should be One group, as LIFE.
This obviously is not the case. Why?

There is a saying that a group is always as strong as its weakest member, and this certainly does apply for humanity as a whole.
If we look at the first group an individual is exposed to – it is the family; Family being the core group that will form an individual.

If we have a look at how family as a group exists, we will see judgment, comparison, a lack of understanding – which results in disorders both on individual level as well as on the level of society in the bigger picture.

So what can be seen is that how family as a group currently exists does not in fact support the individual to become strong and stable and to stand in integrity; on the contrary, it rather supports inner conflict and an inner split into multiple personalities through which the individual attempts to deal with the various aspects of human nature and the world as a whole.

And so instead of the individual growing up to become a character of integrity, what we have is individuals acting-out different character roles in different groups, with no actual integrity, let alone an understanding of oneself and human nature to the extent that one can change and reform human nature – one’s existence – into a living existence that would be best for all life.

This is all the result of the vicious circle of interrelations between the individual and the world system (family being the smallest system unit and the core from which everything else emerges), whereby the system forms the individual to become such that it will in turn form the system in its image and likeness, with the consequence that we do not in fact have the evolution of humanity or the human being, but only the evolution of the system at the cost of LIFE.

Instead of the group being something that supports each individual to reach their utmost potential in their unique expression as an individual, the group / groups becomes something that splits the individual within itself, creating inner conflict and basically a suppression of one’s natural expression as life, as one is busy ‘surviving’ in the world system and ‘coping with’ what we have accepted and allowed to become of life.

What one is able to observe is how groups and groupings are based not on actual life-support, but rather on the support of fake personas, mentalities and opinions, in other words groups are based on agreements, explicit or tacit, agreement however that are not in the best interest of all life as equals.

At Desteni we work together to change and reform both human nature individually as well as the nature of the group as life, to be something that truly supports ourselves and each-other as life, so that we may be in a position to understand and put an end to all abuse, all exploitation, all deception and manipulation that currently characterizes human existence.

That is our responsibility as LIFE, as it should be everyone's responsibility that is here as life - hence why this is a process of SELF-responsibility, a process of SELF-honesty to Stand-Up for Life, as Life.

No man is an island –
What I realized throughout my process is that it is not easy to get to self-honesty by oneself.

Self –Honesty IS something to be self-realized and one must stand-up alone, through self-responsibility and self-directive will – that is common sense.
But to ‘get there’, to get beyond the veils of perception and the conditioned beliefs, self-definitions and value-judgments that one has based one’s ‘who I am’ upon, for that: support is required, in terms of one being shown and pointed-out where and how one may be limiting oneself and one’s view of reality, where and how one may be sabotaging oneself and one’s self-expression in life, where and how one may be stuck in self-interest and fear, etc.

This is the support that I found within the Desteni group and the self-support tools shared.

It’s interesting that the personality/personalities we develop throughout our lives and come to accept, define and believe as ‘who we are’ are backed-up by self-preservation systems that have their own agenda – the agenda to validate the already accepted and adopted definitions and beliefs that make up the ‘pillars’ that constitute the personality. It’s as if the programmed personality has a life of its own and is doing everything in its power to remain in its ‘comfort zone’, to remain with the definitions and beliefs with which it feels ‘safe’, ‘powerful’, ‘important’ or whatever it is that value has been placed in.

This has an interesting practical implication: that all decisions made in one’s life are made from the starting-point of validating and preserving the ‘knowledge & information’ that constitutes the framework of that/such personality, which is in fact not a living expression of self, but a mental construct based on value-judgments adopted, accepted, internalized, and made to be the platform from which self, or whatever is perceived as self, functions, operates and interacts in the world.

Is it a wonder then that we have a world society that is dysfunctional, as it is formed by dysfunctional individuals with no clue as to what creates human nature, let alone how that which self perceives self to be is created in the first place.

The good news is: a construct is something one is able to investigate, track back and understand in terms of creation, conditioning and development. And, if that is so, it means that one then has the ability to, through such understanding, take directive principle and re-evaluate one’s existence from the starting-point of self-responsibility.
Because everything we have become – we have become through acceptance and allowance, through adaptation and submission, through coping mechanisms and thus self-compromise.

Which means that, once we understand How we have become, we are in a position to create ourselves as worthy of life, as equal of life, in self-responsibility through self-directive authority and informed decisions in terms of what really supports life and what not.
Because any and all conditioned/programmed personality is always a system based on separation (funny how ‘separation’ and ‘suppression’ sound almost the same…), based on survival, thus competition, thus self-interest – that self-interest being the interest of a mind-system in fear and thus inferior, and not the interest of self as life;

In common sense one can see that if each one would live in the interest of self as life, we would all be living in the interest of life as a whole, as who we all really are – and this world would be an entirely different place, a place where LIFE would be the value, and thus a place where life would not be exploited and abused in the name of profit, in the name of god, in the name of love, or whatever it is one has based one’s false image upon.

With Desteni we present this common sense as a group, while we each individually walk a process of living this common sense into beingness, as who we are, in the understanding that it is through changing/purifying ourselves and our relationships in our individual lives that we are able to collectively change and purify our world, our society, and human existence as a whole.

This may sound like a vast undertaking, like ‘mission impossible’, but really – what else is there to do in this life that is really worth pursuing, that has actual value in the face of life?

We are made to believe and accept that this is impossible, but have a look, for years now individuals walk this process, this journey to life, each one alone and together as a group, and we are proving to ourselves that change is possible, that self-responsibility is possible, that a life of dignity and respect is possible, that common sense is possible, and that it is in fact possible to change the systems and ways of our world into something that truly supports life – all life equally.

Day 72: Walking out of Ego and into Life

Looking at what life is, one thing is clear: Life is not polarity. Why is that? Simple: Life is not ego - and ego is polarity. In the following I look into the 'how' of ego as polarity, and the 'how' of walking out of ego - into and as life:

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that whenever I see myself and/or others as 'inferior' or 'superior': I am in fact looking through the eyes of ego and thus placing myself equal to ego - and less than life.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that ego is not only that which sees itself as 'more'/'superior' - ego is equally that which sees itself as 'less'/'inferior', because even within that, the ego's attention is on the "me", attempting to get attention, and thus energy, through others 'validating' and 'confirming' its own self-definition.

Within this I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that ego feeds on energy like a vampire on blood - and when the energy runs out, the ego will generate energy through friction, regardless of the cost and the consequences for self and others.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that just as much as it is an expression of ego to brag and boast - it is equally an expression of ego to pity itself, play the victim and make others responsible: because within that, the ego is getting the attention and thus the energy it requires for its self-preservation - it's all about "me".

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that when I am equal to life, no definition of "me" exists which I'd have to defend or boast with.

I forgive myself that I haven't allowed myself to see, realize and understand that when I stand as life as one and equal, my participation is never about "me", but about life and the support of life within all and everyone as equals.

I commit myself to sharing the common sense that ego is not life - evident within the manifestation of our society as 'human nature' where we exist in separation from ourselves and each-other and no expression of this world in fact supports Life in all ways.

I commit myself to sharing the common sense that the accepted human nature that manifests in its image and likeness the system in the world as we know it: is not equal to life, but equal to ego - as ego only exists in self-interest based in conditioned and accepted fear, not in the interest of life based in self-directive evolution.

I commit myself to showing that ego is based in fear, as all self-interest is based in fear; and that in a world without fear, there would exist no 'inferiority' and thus no 'superiority' - no separation, and thus no self-interest, but only the interest of Life as equals in a world where All is One.

I commit myself to showing that ego always exists in fear of loss, just like self-interest is always equal to fear of loss - and that we have abdicated our right to life by abdicating our value as life and pursuing fake 'values' in an attempt to make ourselves 'more' and 'superior', when even our accepted 'inferiority' was not real in the first place.

I commit myself to showing that as long as we are preoccupied with "what about me" in the pursuit of self-interest, seeking the experience of "More" out of accepted 'inferiority', instead of acknowledging our value as life and standing-up for life as equals: we are abdicating our right to life and by our own acceptance and allowance exist as less than life, manifesting a world that in our image and likeness is less than life and operates at the cost of life - yet we do not care, as long as it is not OUR life that's at stake.

I commit myself to showing that the accepted 'human nature' as ego is the root of all evil in the world - the world being the reflection of our image and likeness, the truth of ourselves that we refuse to see and take responsibility for.

I commit myself to showing that the only way out of the hell we have created on earth: is to self-realize life and thus take responsibility for life, which would entail taking responsibility for ourselves as life, correcting who and what we have become as ego and redeeming ourselves as life.

I commit myself to showing that this redemption of life as life: each one will have to walk for oneself in self-honesty and self-forgiveness, through one's own decision in self-will -
Yet we walk together because we all walk the same process: out of self-consciousness as ego as polarity and into self-awareness as life as oneness and equality.

I commit myself to showing that the process humanity is facing is the process of walking ourselves out of self-consciousness as ego which is based in fear and other polarity constructs, and walking ourselves into self-awareness as life based in the value of life as oneness and equality, where fear and polarity have no place - and thus hierarchy, control and exploitation have no place either.

I commit myself to sharing the common sense of walking together and assisting each-other, as within that we mirror each-other to support with self-honesty and practical common sense, to make sure that all is seen and nothing is left uncovered, until the reflection of ourselves is crystal clear, transparent and dignified - which must be seen in the external reality that we manifest on earth; and all our relationships and any systems we construct must be the reflection of our purified nature and aligned to support all life equally in all possible ways.

I commit myself to showing that the process of purifying our nature will take time and self-commitment, and cannot be applied in the mental; It has to be walked and applied in the physical, in actuality: through writing, self-forgiveness and self-honest self-corrective living -
as any real change requires to be lived into beingness and cross-referenced in the context of the one reality we all share, to make sure that what we are creating and manifesting as ourselves is in fact what is best for ALL LIFE.
